During the Covid-19 pandemic, we have adapted our buildings to help the healthcare sector in as many ways as possible. We’ve built testing centres, temporary hospitals and vaccination sites. When the casualty rates continued to rise, we also deployed a solution of a different nature; temporary expanded mortuary facilities, a solution that would help communities handle the deceased with the dignity they deserve.
Responding to the call of the community
During our work for medical institutions in several countries, the need arose for facilities of a different nature than the triage centres and test sites we had built up to that point.
We responded to this particular request from the medical community by delivering facilities that were unfortunately much needed in some countries: temporary mortuaries. As we have done in the past in response to calamities and disasters such a hurricanes, the temporary mortuaries ensure casualties can be handled with dignity when the capacity of existing mortuaries is reached.
